A lightscribe cover label for the DVD or Blue Ray movie Daybreakers.
Vampires are huge right now in Hollywood. I blame Twilight for making vampires appealing to the masses. But all in all, these vampires are little girls like the ones in twilight, so maybe this movie might have turned out well. I don’t know, I got a strange vibe from the previews, it was like they were trying to hard to appeal to my demographic. Oh plus the plot sounds like a rip off of a episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, where it shows an alternate universe where Buffy never came to Sunnydale, and The Master and Darla turned all the people into cattle and created bars to where they could go and drink fresh blood from a pipe with like 6 spouts.

James Cameron finally gets around to another movie, a little known movie called Avatar. Have you heard of it? I think this movie raked in more money than any other movie in history. I can’t blame people for watching it though, it is a breakthrough in cinematography is paving the way for what a movies will become.

Wow, what a disappointment. This movie proves that Will Ferrell is as overrated as I have been saying for years. I mean I like the dude, but not as the leading man. All of his movies in the last 5 years are the same, he just has a different career. Please make a Spartan Cheerleader movie!

It’s the end of the world! … again. This movie plays with small facts to attempt to create fear among the masses that the world will end soon. I heard it looked good, just smart people were annoyed by the whole idea.

This movie turned out verry well. I find it funny that it was considerd a sleeper hit, and that the movie studios didn’t think it was going to be as awesome as it was. I mean, his short film on which this movie originated was awesome, and the dudes work with the Halo movie project was amazing. In fact, if it wasn’t for the studios underestimating Neill Blomkamp the Halo movie would have been made, and we wouldn’t have gotten this masterpiece.

I still have yet to see this movie, as I have been told the previews make it look like a different movie than it really is, and what the previews show I want to see. I also heard that it ended up being a children’s movie? Any confirmation on that? Should I give this one a shot?

A lightscribe cover label for the DVD movie Transformers 2, Revenge of the Fallen.
The second ‘live action’ transformer movie. There was quite a bit of hype leading up to this movie, and a lot of people felt let down with the outcome. I for one really enjoyed this movie. I don’t see what everyones problem was. Sure it had a lot of scenes dealing with pointless human crap, but there was enough action and badassness to keep me entertained the whole duration of this popcorn flick. I also thought the story was though out enough, where it made some of the first movie make more sense. I an eagerly awaiting the third entry.

Fanboys finally get something they have been waiting for for 20 years, a Terminator movie that takes place in the future and during the war against the machines. But, I have heard that they simply didn’t do good enough with this film. I still have yet to see this, and I really wanted to, but enough people talked me out of going to the theater to see it.

A lightscribe cover label for the DVD movie GI Joe The Rise Of Cobra.
With the success of Transformers it didn’t take long for another action figure toy line and beloved cartoon series to get turned into a live action movie. The problem with this movie, was that they didn’t quite know which direction to take it. The end results was a mix of fantastic special effects, cartoony visuals, horrible acting, but all around decent action flick. They did the action right, but the story and drama left a lot to be desired. I said this once and I will say it again, a movie based on action figures does not need a major plot point of a love story mixed in with it.

J.J. Abrams brings one of the most famous franchises in history to one incredible movie. Even people who disliked Star Trek the series and movies loved this movie.

A lightscribe cover label for the DVD movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret Of The Ooze.
Not as good at the incredibly awesome first one, but still a lot better than the crap fest that was number 3. I love the turtles, I still want to be a ninja turtle, and this movie keeps me thinking “Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go… Go".

Two lightscribe cover labels for the DVD movie X Men Legends Wolverine
This movie had a bad wrap, which made me weary to see it. When I finally did I was suprised on how decent it was. I use the term decent because it is by no means a great movie, but it was on par with the other X Men movies, and even better than some other super hero movies. The only thing that pisses me off, is how they used the mutants and heroes from the marvel universe. To me it was neat seeing Gambit (finally), but I don’t like how old that would have made him during the X Men movies.

This is still one of my all time favorite movies, and by far the best turtle movie. The only thing that I dislike now, is the 80s inspired fashion, too bad there wasn’t a way to update certain parts of this movie, but still leave it in tact.

It sounded interesting, but I guess I just was an OK movie (or so I hear). Still it interests me and I will be checking this one out soon.

A lightscribe cover label for the DVD movie Watchmen.
Based on a popular graphic, this movie was a true masterpiece. It definately was not your typical super hero flick, which I loved, but the average American hated. Many people we bored because they were expected something as action packed as Dark Knight, but instead we were delivered a great story (meh on the ending) and a unique fashion. I loved sitting back and just watching.

The Rock is back in another family adventure! I think the kids turn out to be alien’s and the Rock has to drive them around. I can’t tell if it sounds good or not.

A lightscribe cover label for the DVD movie Aeon Flux.
I actually do not know to much about this movie. Except that Hollywood has a trend, 2 movies coming out have to be similar, like Armageddon was a rip off of Deep Impact, well Ultraviolet was supposed to be the rip of Aeon Flux. I think this was based on some cartoon or something that may have been on MTV.

I really don’t know much about this, what I got from the previews is that it is in a post-apocalyptic future Thunderdome style. Oh, and people like to fight and the punk rock cutler rules.

This movie had a decent concept, and some kick-ass visuals, but it also had a horrible dialog and bad acting. If you turn the volume down, you will probably enjoy it much much better.

A lightscribe cover label for the DVD movie Knowing.
This movie turned out a whole lot better than I had anticipated. From the previews I expected a more adult version of National Treasure about the end of the world. Some scenes in this movie were truly believable, such as the plane crash, and the subway crash. Parts of this movie even creeped me out, mostly the weird people in the woods who like to watch little boys. Even though some things were done right, the overall plot seemed a bit silly and forced. I don’t quite get the connection of accidents (such of the plane trains and automobile types) and the end of the world.

A lightscribe cover label for the DVD movie StarGate Continuum.
This is the second direct to TV/DVD for Stage Gate SG1. It pretty much closed the major plots that didn’t get closed with the last movie, namely Baal. It also did this silly time travel thing, which I entirely hate. I liked stargate for the mythology, and the idea of traveling to the other planets, but when you add in the time travel nonsense, I don’t like it.

A lightscribe cover label for the DVD movie The Terminator
The start to the popular franchise. This one feels different that the rest of the movies, it feels less sci-fi, and more survival horror. I feel that this was an OK movie, but it wasn’t until the second movie that I even cared about a terminator.

I don’t think I am exacturating when I say that this is one of the best movies of all time. Screw ‘Gone With The Wind’, this is what a movie should be. You have the perfect blend of action, adventure, thriller, all with a solid story and likable characters.

A lightscribe cover label for the movie Spiderman.
I had a spiderman obsession before this movie came, and when it did it only fueled my excitement. I was in awe when I first saw this movie, but after repeat viewings that awe went away. I think this movie tried to much to be about the love story, and less about being an awesome super hero. That seems to be a common theme in super hero movies after this even, that they forget people read the comics for the super hero, not their personal life.
